I had the pleasure of working out of Dr. Amir’s office in Putney last year with Dr. Howell, the creator of NCR- Nuero-Cranial Restructuring. Dr. Amir regular now combines NCR with his Jaw correction work. I witnessed one of the dramatic transformations that is contained in the article below with Ian; who is a patient of Dr. Amir and now Dr. Howell.
Ian is 28 and has had chronic fatigue and depression as a result of 4 wisdom teeth extractions at 19 years of age. He has been non-functional since then; unable to go to school or work or play any golf where he excelled as a teenager with a handicap of 5.
Ian essentially suffered from a collapsed face due to the wisdom teeth extractions as his palate shifted backwards altering the cranial bones and compressed the nervous system resulting in the depression and fatigue. On Ian’s recent trip to the US to see Dr. Howell, he had improved so much that he ended up dragging me out to what seemed like every club in Manhattan. Over three days we went into 3 different clubs and Ian was picked up immediately by three different women. His facial symmetry was now better than when before he had the wisdom teeth extractions.
Concurrently, Ian had started to play Golf again on the weekends. With only a minimal amount of practice and after a 9 year lay-off his handicap had now dropped to three. I suspect as his symmetry continues to improve he may be good enough for a try at the PGA tour. My interest in the Dental correction work is also a result of wisdom teeth extractions as well as three other teeth from a horrid orthodontist who still practice the ancient art of butchery that most dentists still seem to engage in.
Logistically, it was not feasible for me to see Dr. Amir, so I was able to find a dentist in NY that did work similar to Dr. Amir with a device called a homeoblock. Dr. Belfor is able to correct facial symmetry and build up the cheekbones without plastic surgury all with a removable appliance that is only worn at night. My progress has been astounding over the last 9 months since I started with the homeoblock and I am at the beginning stages of where Ian already is. Feel free to contact me, if you are interested in having this work done. It will change your life beyond your wildest dreams.

If the jaw is out of alignment with the skull, the body will misalign to compensate, says Dr Amir How a dental brace could cure MS, migraines and paralysis
Bella Freud
07.10.09

Earlier this year I developed a pain at the very end of my left jawbone, near my neck.

I had just had a crown made at a Harley Street dentist but when I went back he found no evident complications.

The pain continued to worsen, particularly at night. I would get into bed and the dull ache would burgeon into full-blown agony.

I rang my dentist again in desperation. “I’m sorry, I’m just off skiing,” he sang happily. “It can’t be the tooth, though.” Clang! I felt a prison door close.

It must be cancer of the jaw. My Pilates teacher, who is also an osteopath, suggested it might be to do with the temporo mandibular Joint (TMJ), the point where the upper and lower jaw connect to the skull.

He told me a client of his went to a genius guy in Putney called Dr Amir – so I went.

The pain had become so bad that I took some of my husband’s heavy-duty prescription pills for an abscess, which made me feel as if I’d been poisoned and coshed, and I staggered into Dr Amir’s modest waiting room looking like Munch’s Scream.

Amir’s walk-in surgery was a far cry from Harley Street’s marble floors and stucco-fronted portico, and I felt a sense of panic as I slumped into his reclining chair.

He quickly established that my pain, which was made worse by hot liquids, was caused by a dying nerve showing a-typical symptoms. He suggested it would improve with penicillin, which it did – within hours.

Dr Amir is a tall, imposing man with a friendly and kindly manner, and a slightly swollen lip from a boxing injury he suffered as a young man in Kenya.

He is extremely intelligent and I was fascinated to hear about his jaw alignment work and the amazing results he has achieved.

He seems to relish the kind of patients that most doctors would dread: a host of inexplicable symptoms that don’t tick any conventional medical boxes.

He explained that if the jaw is out of alignment with the skull, the body will misalign to compensate, affecting breathing, sleep, digestion and causing a host of severe ailments not automatically connected with the jaw.

I suffered from migraines for 15 years with constant clicking in my ears but my jaw had never been considered as a cause.

My migraines had stopped when I’d had all my mercury fillings removed but to my dismay they were gradually creeping back.

Dr Amir asked me if I had poor energy levels (I am always tired and wake up exhausted) and pointed out that I barely breathed. He asked me to take a deep breath then tested my strength using the kinesiology muscle test – I raised my arm and resisted him pushing against it.

He asked me to put my teeth together and move my jaw slightly to the left. I was much stronger with it in this position and I was able to breathe deeper into my stomach.

He designed a plate, which pulled my jaw to the left to a more symmetrical position so that my teeth meet correctly.

My energy levels have improved as a result and I have had no headaches.

Amir, as he is known by his patients, has had extraordinary results treating the symptoms of MS and ME sufferers.

He has also helped people cure persistent migraines, irritable bowel syndrome and even paralysis.

Claire Wilkinson, who came into his surgery in a wheelchair, was ready, as she put it, to “seek assisted suicide”.

Her ill health began in her teens when she was misdiagnosed with endometriosis.

She endured 14 different operations, the last one rendering her intermittently paralysed in her legs and arms.

Over the next 13 years she went from being a lively, energetic young woman to someone with almost total paralysis, caused, as it turned out, by an extreme sensitivity to a wide variety of chemicals found in everyday life which rendered her entirely dependent on her husband.

Some days Claire was too weak to even hold her head up.

On her first visit to Amir, she had an allergic reaction to the plastic material he used for her dental plate and collapsed.

Undeterred, Amir used an alternative material and Claire was able to walk to the car for the drive home – something that would have been inconceivable only hours earlier.

She hasn’t had an attack for more than a year and has full use of her limbs again. “I tried everything,” she said. “Amir never gives up; he has changed my life. He is very, very good.”……..

Matt Allen, a 40-year-old with three young sons, who suffers from MS, started seeing Amir in March. Although still active, he felt constantly fatigued and could feel his power beginning to slip away.

The first six months of wearing the plate produced only small improvements until suddenly, just recently, his energy dramatically increased.

He noticed the effect each time he adjusted the brace, and now he can run up the stairs and play football with his children – things he hasn’t been able to do for years.

Amir’s technique also cured Amber Baillie-Lane, a 31-year-old clinical scientist, of her ME symptoms – including 10 years of heartburn, migraines and back pain – within weeks.
